Labeled scuba diving gear with each item's name.

Air Fills

Standard fill: $10

Cylinder must have a hydro stamp withing the last 5 years and a current annual VIP from a recognized scuba facility.

Fill cards available for $100 each. 12 fills for the cost of 10.

Hydrostatic Testing

A hydro test, or hydrostatic test, is a procedure that determines if a scuba cylinder is safe to use

  •  How it works A professional fills the cylinder with water and places it in a closed system called a test jacket. The cylinder is then pressurized to a specific level, and the total expansion is measured. The cylinder is also visually inspected for leaks or deformities.
  • Why it's important Regular hydro tests are necessary because cylinders can degrade over time due to corrosion, weather, or accidental damage. A failed hydro test means the cylinder must be disposed of.
  • How often to test The frequency of hydro tests depends on the material the cylinder is made from:
    • Steel and aluminum: Every five years

Hydrostatic Testing

We use a 3 step process for only $50 per cylinder:

Once a cylinder comes back with a passing hydro stamp, it is visually inspected. Once the cylinder passes the visual inspection, it is stickered and filled.
